The territorial Christian Education Summit, “Paving the Way,” has been designed to provide workshops to meet a variety of teaching needs.

“The program department has sought out some of the nation’s best authors and instructors to share from their experiences with us,” said Territorial Youth and Candidates’ Secretary Major Brian Bearchell. The summit is designed to assist soldiers and friends who–with little or no training–find themselves in the roles of teacher or program instructor.

General sessions will be presented by Commissioner Joe Noland, Eastern territorial commander, with the Eastern Territory Creative Arts Team and Dr. Laverne Tolbert (Azusa Pacific University).

Workshops and leaders are:

  • “Leading youth into the heart of worship” – John Middendorf (author and pastor of student ministries at Oklahoma City First Church of the Nazarene)
  • “Teaching the youth of today” – Dr. Mark York (Word Action) * “Walk through the Bible” – John Heouchan (Walk through the Bible)
  • “Becoming a contagious Christian” – Bo Bosher (Contagious Christianity)
  • “Alpha Course” – Bryan Dahms
  • “Creative ministries” – Carol Jaudes and Eastern Territory Creative Arts Team

You will not want to miss this great learning opportunity! June 15-16 at the Holiday Inn of La Mirada (just minutes away from the Cerritos Per-forming Arts Center).
