The Southwest Division continues to emphasize its multi-cultural ministry, as seen in the dedication of the West Valley Korean Outpost, one of three in the division.

Two sets of retired officers led the way in this dedication. Lt. Colonels Dal-Yong and Young-Sook Park (R), former Korean Training School principals, have retired to the Phoenix area and volunteered to assist with the Korean work. Park expressed deep gratitude to the Phoenix Citadel Corps for help given during the past two years.

Commissioners Peter and Grace Chang (R), former Western Territorial leaders, were present as well. Chang conducted the dedication ceremony and brought the message, challenging the audience with the words from Matthew 16 “…on this rock will I build my church.”

Divisional leaders Lt. Colonels Olin and Dianne Hogan also participated.

About 100 guests attended the dedication service, held at the one and one-half acre site in Glendale, Ariz.
