The Torrance, Calif., corps, led by Majors Julio and Karen Vasquez, recognized their volunteers at an annual luncheon held during National Salvation Army Week. Among those honored were the corps’ own Kevin and Jacqui Larsson—divisional music director and assistant music director, respectively—for their service to others through music. John Kaper received the Katy Geissert Helping Hands award. The Partners in Service award went to Honda and the Marriott. Father Robert Lawton, president of Loyola Marymount University gave the keynote address.
