More than 300 people attended the recent dedication celebration of The Salvation Army’s Silvercrest 80-unit senior apartment complex in Turlock, Calif.

Special guests Colonels Donald and Esther Sather officiated; the ceremony included speeches, songs and prayers, and special music from the Golden State Brass Band.

Available for low-income seniors, based on their monthly income, the Silvercrest is funded by federal tax dollars from the Urban Development Agency and funds from The Salvation Army.

“We are very thankful to God for the opportunity to serve seniors and him,” said Administrators Majors M. Keith and Mona McRevy.
