Promoted to Glory

Marybel Hobbs, a good friend, volunteer and Salvation Army Advisory Board member for over 25 years, was promoted to Glory from Seattle, Wash., on November 20, 2000.

She and her husband, Carl, served as volunteers following retirement at many Salvation Army locations around the Western Territory, including Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, and California. In 1991 they were recipients of the Frontiersman of the Year award.

She is survived by her husband and by sons Dan and Doug, daughter Kerry Kipplinger, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and her brother, Frank Walsh.
