Promoted to Glory

Jonathan Bassett, youngest son of Commissioners W. Todd and Carol Bassett, U.S. national leaders, was promoted to Glory on May 30 in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, after a brief illness following a cerebral stroke.

Jon was active in the Moncton Wesleyan Church. The funeral was held there, with his uncle, Lt. Colonel Joseph Bassett, leading and Reverend Laurel Buckingham speaking.

In addition to his parents, Jon is survived by three children: Jeffrey, Jonny and Jenna-Marie; his brother and sister-in-law, Majors Jeffrey and Jessica Bassett; his sister, Linda Jill Daugan; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations for the Moncton Wesleyan Church, 945 St. George Boulevard, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
