Training event planned for July

The Salvation Army PROMISE (Partnership to Rescue Our Minors from Sexual Exploitation) program and the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center is sponsoring a major training event at the U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago, Ill., on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The training will assist clinicians in understanding, identifying and responding to the commercial sexual exploitation of children and youth. Six hours of continuing education credits will be available for social workers and counselors.

Space is limited and registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-serve basis. The cost is $50 for professionals and $35 for students. Online registration is now available at sapromise.org or by phone with Diane Siegel at (312) 492-3718.
