The first weekend in May provided a wealth of opportunity for music and drama fans as the All-California music weekend crossed cultural and stylistic barriers. Retired General John Larsson, the Western Territorial Songsters, more than 40 actors from Latino corps with 20 musicians from around Southern California, and Bandmaster William Himes from the Central Territory—leading a band of musicians from all four California divisions—joined forces for a series of performances featuring the premiere of Espiritu.
