Majors Rex and Polly McCulley Begin a New Chapter in Service

Majors Rex and Polly McCulley have retired from many years of active service. Polly Combs was commissioned with the Peacemaker Session (Southern Territory) in 1953, and Rex with the Western Faithful Session in 1957. They were married in February 1953. Their appointments have included Laramie and Sheridan, Wyo.; Butte, Mont.; Ketchikan, Alaska; Roswell, N.M.; Mesa, Ariz.; Las Vegas, Nev.; Fresno, Calif.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Billings, Mont.; El Paso (County Command,) Tex.; and Santa Cruz Silvercrest (administrators) in Capitola, Calif.

Rex is well-known for his interest in Salvation Army history and his extensive collection of memorabilia.

Many family and friends participated in their retirement ceremony, both in person and by letters. The ceremony was conducted by Lt. Colonel Richard Love, Golden State Divisional Commander.

The McCulleys’ daughters, Patty, Susan and Cathie, have given them three grandchildren: Chris, Jordan and Karli.

In retirement, the McCulleys will continue serving God and working for his Kingdom. Their address will be: Majors Rex and Polly McCulley, 5390 Greenbriar Dr., Riverside CA 92504.
