General Linda Bond has called The Salvation Army to pray for peace and and for victims of sex trade trafficking. A Sunday in September has been set aside for each prayer focus – the fifth year that this has happened.

On Sunday 18 September the international Salvation Army is encouraged to respond to a Call to Prayer for Peace, focusing on the Bible verse: ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God’ (Matthew 5:9 New International Version).

A week later, on 25 September, Salvationists and friends are called to prayer for victims of sex trade trafficking, with the theme verse: ‘I have come that they may have life’ (John 10:10).

As in previous years, both calls to prayer are publicised with distinctive, thought-provoking images created by Berni Georges of the International Headquarters Communications Section. This year, for the first time, the posters have been produced in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish
