Territorial Business Conference

Business Conference emphasizes exciting opportunities for all CRD personnel.

by Bob Gregg –

Integration of disciplines and information was the highlight of the CRD track. Professionals from different disciplines attended and presented sessions aimed at increasing the benefit to donors, and for all whom the Army serves.

The new Donor Management system, due to roll out in 2007, was demonstrated. This advance in technology allows an integrated approach to donors by the CRD Department. It includes direct marketing, major gifts, planned giving, public relations, volunteers, special events, disaster services and advisory boards. This new tool will allow the Army’s professionals to secure more resources from almost everyone who supports the Army’s mission.

Another set of combined sessions focused on the role of the Internet with donors and others who sustain the Army. The Army received an exceptional increase in financial support via the Internet during the tsunami and last year’s hurricane disasters in the South, and it is proving to be a valuable tool for communication with an increasing segment of our donors.

At each lunch the new High Impact Gift program was highlighted as DVDs that support this new effort were shown to all delegates. These new DVDs are professionally produced and were a highlight of the conference for many delegates.
