Vision for Mission
2006 events held at Crestmont and Cerritos.

The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts will once again be the location for Commissioning services, which will be held June 10-11, 2006.
On June 9, commencement will take place at Crestmont.
The territory is honored to have retired international leaders, Commissioners Earle and Wilma Maxwell joining us to present powerful presentations of the gospel. The Commissioners retired in 1999, with Commissioner Earle Maxwell having served six years as the Chief of the Staff at International Headquarters. Their knowledge of the Army world—and passion for our mission fields—will be evident as they challenge and speak about having a Vision for Mission.
“The primary purpose for Commissioning,” said Program Secretary Lt. Colonel Terry Griffin, “is to share in the experience as a church of believers as our fellow soldiers enter the rank of officers.”
These solemn and exciting moments in the West’s history will take place Sunday June 11, with the Commissioning and Ordination service in the morning, followed by the Appointment Service in the afternoon.
The commissioning of the Visionaries Session will be the conclusion of what organizers are hoping will be a spirit-filled weekend of worship, celebration and fellowship together.
Starting on Friday June 9 with Commencement, the celebrations of our Vision for Mission will continue in the afternoon, with the Territorial Bible Bowl competition, and a family festival of fun and games taking place on the grounds of Crestmont, prior to a family BBQ and an outdoor concert featuring top Christian artists.
Saturday night at Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts will be a sell out occasion. The Territorial Music and Worship Development department is planning a Gospel Arts Celebration featuring many of the talent artists and performers from around the territory. You will want to make sure you purchase your ticket early for this event.
