The Salvation Army’s Turkish Response Advance Team, comprised of Maj. Ron Lee, Capt. Cedric Hills and Richard Keffler, along with local volunteers, has completed construction of 116 tents at three separate sites near Izmit. Within the next two weeks, the team plans to erect 1,000 tents large enough to house a family of five or more.

Western officer Capt. Mike Olsen, Emergency Services Coordinator, IHQ, and Hills, program director of the SA team in Kosovo, recently toured a number of devastated towns, including Adapazary and Izmit, and the hard-hit region of Colcuk, where more than 200,000 are homeless.
