ALIVE and WELL IN CHINA

Listen to this article

New Frontier readers have responded with interest to the May 8, 2002 issue that featured a report on Majors Barry and Arlene Dooley’s trip across China to view Salvation Army programs.

One program, in the Fang Ma Pa villages, encourages women to get prenatal care for pregnancies and deliver their babies in the hospital. The cost is about 70 RMB–about US $10–and many cannot afford this. Salvation Army funds for this program are quickly being depleted.

Individuals interested in giving financial support to this program may do so. Please make check payable to The Salvation Army, and enclose a note requesting funds be directed to China Development Project.
