Commissioning 2007
Commissioning 2007 events planned.
This year’s event is a must! An exciting evening of praise and celebration is being planned, not to honor us but to give glory to God!
In conjunction with the commissioning of the Territorial Songsters, songsters from around the territory—including Seattle Temple, Long Beach Citadel, Salinas, El Cajon, Mesa and Phoenix and San Diego Citadel—will join us.
The joined songsters will present music including “Let Christ be Lifted Up” and the classic, “The Lord Bless Thee and Keep Thee,” by John Rutter.
The Territorial Band will feature music by Robert Redhead to open and close the concert and will feature a short new work, “El es el Señor (He is the Lord),” which has an upbeat Latin flavor, by composer Dean Jones.
The trombonists of the band will be featured in “I Will Follow Him,” music from Sister Act.
London’s Regent Hall songster leader and much-in-demand talented vocalist, Marjory Watson, will perform with support from the band and her husband, Stuart, at the piano.
Drama and dance will also be featured—hula dancers from Hawaii and Irene Lewis from Los Angeles Red Shield Community Center will again be sharing their God-given talents with us—something not to be missed!
A brand new specially written march, “The Trailblazers,” will be performed as this year’s Trailblazer award recipients are honored.
Make sure to get your tickets in good time—this is an event not to be missed!
