Renew
by Eda Homok, Lt. Colonel –
Need a summer break to renew your spirit, refresh your body, and reacquaint with fellow Salvationists? If so, the Western Bible Conference 2010 is the place to be. Already over 500 delegates have registered and we have begun a waiting list in hopes of accommodating late registrations.
Western Bible Conference 2010 will be a meeting place of Salvationists and friends as the territory comes together at Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center in Felton, California.
Lt. Colonels Clive and Marianne Adams, from the Norway, Iceland and Faeroes Territory, and Dr. Bill Ury, professor of Systematic and Historical Theology, Wesley Biblical Seminary have already been praying for our time together. Both sets of guests have a deep love for the Lord, and come to the West with a wide variety of experience. In addition, you will have an opportunity to meet our new territorial leaders, Commissioners Jim and Carolyn Knags.
You simply don’t want to miss WBC with this great lineup of speakers, the small group Bible studies, the fantastic fully-equipped childcare center staffed by Christians, the optional daily activities—rope climbing, canopy tour, antique shopping, hiking, enjoying nature and the opportunity to enjoy the Redwoods while riding on an antique train.
Our prayer is that each delegate will enhance their relationship with Jesus, deepen their understanding of holy living and renew their passion for their faith, prayer focus, and the Holy Spirit.
And what better place to do that than at Mr. Hermon, where for decades this conference center has been a place where lives have been forever impacted by the person of Jesus Christ and his Word. Mount Hermon’s stated purpose is, “Encountering Jesus—Lives Transformed.”
Come expecting great things—you won’t be disappointed!
If you haven’t finalized your travel plans, do so soon and remember that registration begins on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. and WBC concludes on Thursday August 26, at 11:00 A.M.
See you there.
