two riverside youth named to honor band. chad ingram and thor ferguson. thor ferguson and chad ingram were recently named to the king karl king honor band, comprised of 79 junior high students from the california counties of riverside, san bernardino and orange. more than 170 students auditioned for this year’s band. ferguson, who plays the euphonium, was named to the first chair for the second consecutive year. he attends norte vista high school in riverside. trumpet player ingram, who attends moreno valley high school in moreno valley, was named for the first time. both students also play in the salvation army’s sierra del mar divisional band.
