The territorial singing company competition took place on Saturday morning. Each division sent its winner from divisional competitions held earlier this year. The compulsory song required of each company was “God, O Most High,” by Captain Kenneth Hodder and Bandmaster Ivor Bosanko, which was also sung by the united singing companies at Sunday’s Service of Appointments. Each company then performed a song of its own choosing.

In first place, repeating a winning performance at the 1999 competition, was the Leeward Corps singing company from Hawaii. The group was led by Crystal Mateo. Tied for second were Oceanside from Sierra del Mar led by Sharon Bailey and Casa Grande from the Southwest led by Bill Nunes. The territorial singing company competition is held every two years during Commissioning weekend.
