San Bernardino helps homeless kids

Listen to this article

Fourteen homeless children in San Bernardino, Calif., started school with new clothes, backpacks, and classroom essentials thanks to a $1,400 donation from the Hispanic Alliance Group to the San Bernardino Corps.

The children are occupants of Hospitality House, the Army’s emergency family shelter. Shelter Director Roosevelt Carroll and volunteers took the children shopping at Target to get the clothing and supplies.

Captains Stephen and Nancy Ball are corps officers.
