The Salvation Army will present its Sally Award to actress and producer Roma Downey on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live.
The awards gala provides The Salvation Army, a star-studded platform to celebrate people of great accomplishment who always find time to help others.
The first Sally Award was presented to Hollywood legend Cecil B. DeMille. Bob Hope, President Ronald Reagan and Dame Angela Lansbury followed in subsequent years.
Ms. Downey has produced some of the most popular television and movie entertainment in recent memory, including Dovekeepers, The Bible, AD, Little Boy and Ben Hur.
She is committed to helping those in need and for that, The Salvation Army is pleased to recognize her for both her professional and personal achievements.
