The Salvation Army in metro Phoenix served 50,000-plus children this holiday season. Now in its 23rd year, Metro Phoenix’s Christmas Angel program is one of the largest and most successful in the nation. It began in 1986 in a single mall, and that year the Army helped 3,200 children. Thanks to the generosity of the community, the program has grown exponentially.
