Almost 400 people attended the grand opening of the Carpinteria ARC’s newest thrift store recently.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Lt. Grady Brown, ARC administrator, thanked Chamber of Commerce President Don Fascione for the city’s support of The Salvation Army. Fascione welcomed the thrift store into the Oxnard community and pledged the business community’s support.
Brown thanked Captain Norm Patton, Oxnard corps officer, as well as Aaron Raznick, the shopping center owner. He also expressed appreciation to the ARC Command and the local Advisory Council’s involvement.
The grand opening crowd was treated to a well-stocked, beautifully displayed store. Located at one of the busiest intersections in Oxnard, the store has almost 10,000 square feet of shopping.
“I believe the new store will generate the income needed to keep the Carpinteria ARC moving forward in all phases of its operation,” said Brown.
