by Linda Bond, Commissioner –
The Chief of the Staff has approved the new cabinet position of territorial secretary for leadership development for the USA Western Territory.
For many years, the subject of the identification, training and development of leaders has occupied the minds of the Army’s territorial and international leaders. While we know that many things are already in place in our territory to equip our leaders for mission, there needs to be further coordination of what presently exists and the exploration and development of new initiatives that would guarantee the effective preparation of leaders for the present and future.
With the appointment of Lt. Colonel Raymond Peacock to this position, assisted by Lt. Colonel Carolyn Peacock, I am asking that the USA Western territory put in place a Leadership Development Plan. Lt. Colonel Raymond Peacock will continue to hold the position of president of Crestmont College, serving as section head for Crestmont in his cabinet position. He will be working with the divisional and ARC command heads, as well as THQ cabinet members to determine the ongoing leadership development needs.
The new leadership development position is a commitment to our mission priority to “identify, train and develop leaders.”
