meet the cadets of the visionaries session. daisy darnell children’s names: justin, age 7, and jacob, age 6 home corps: sun city, arizona, southwest division generation salvationist: 1st what brought you to tsa: a neighbor and her grandmother invited me to attend the corps in my home town of oceanside, california. ministry/passions: i love working with young people and women. my passion is sharing the truth of god’s word with everyone. hobbies interests: one of my hobbies is playing the bass guitar. i also love to watch movies. matthew darnell children’s names: justin, age 7, and jacob, age 6 home corps: sun city, arizona, southwest division generation salvationist: 3rd what brought you to tsa: my grandparents ministry/passions: modern praise and worship, young adult/college ministries, youth and cutting edge ministries. hobbies interests: guitar, writing and recording music, my family, scripture. maria ramirez children’s names: enrique, jr., joshua and magdalena home corps: santa ana temple, southern california division generation salvationist: 1st what brought you to tsa: i met the salvation army through a friend, candida, and majors zoilo and magali pardo, who spoke to me about jesus christ at sunday services. ministry/passions: evangelizing, preaching, teaching and discipling are some of my passions in ministry. my goal is to go to all nations bringing the word of god to others. hobbies interests: reading, homiletics. spending time with my family and listening to gospel music. enrique ramirez children’s names: enrique, jr., joshua and magdalena home corps: santa ana temple, southern california division generation salvationist: 1st what brought you to tsa: i was invited by a man named pedro agreda, who was excited about the salvation army. i believe that what brought me to the salvation army was the need of god in my life. ministry/passions: evangelizing, preaching and teaching to help those who are in spiritual and physical need. hobbies interests: i love to play sports. i love to do sponge painting and general house painting, to play with my kids and fellowship with others. i like to collect watches and ties. vickie harvey children’s names: zacharie and mackenzie home corps: farmington, new mexico, southwest division generation salvationist: 2nd what brought you to tsa: my parents became officers. ministry/passions: to see people of all ages accept, live and experience god’s fullness through programs and relationships of the salvation army. hobbies interests: family, crafts of all types, and scrapbooking. jonathan paul harvey children’s names: zacharie and mackenzie home corps: farmington, new mexico, southwest division generation salvationist: 4th what brought you to tsa: i was raised in a small rural corps in south east england. ministry/passions: i am passionate about seeing the kingdom of god grow through the work of the salvation army, and i enjoy developing new programs that guide people towards him. i also love leading people into the presence of god through the spiritual act of worship. hobbies interests: i enjoy being with friends and family, cooking and anything to do with new technology. marcos marquez conley children’s names: none – single home corps: el cajon, california, sierra del mar division generation salvationist: 4th what brought you to tsa: i was very fortunate to be born into a salvationist household. ministry/passions: youth, music and outreach. hobbies interests: i am very passionate about music.
