Heralds of the Good News Session

Deborah Breazeale
BACKGROUND: I was born and raised in California, where I married and raised three children, two adopted children and over 80 foster children.
FAMILY: Five children; four adults and Jennifer, age 13; nine grandchildren.
HOME CORPS: Bishop Ministry Center/Bakersfield, Calif., Golden State Division
GENERATION SALVATIONIST: 1st
SIGNIFICANCE OF COMMISSIONING: Life is a great adventure—an exciting journey. To be commissioned as an officer in The Salvation Army is the next step. I am excited, honored and humbled by God’s call in allowing me to be a servant for him.

Dwaine Breazeale
BACKGROUND: I was born and raised in California where I later raised three children, two adopted children and over 80 foster children.

SIGNIFICANCE OF COMMISSIONING: I am honored to serve in such an historic movement and look forward to opportunities for service that may only be offered to Salvation Army officers. This uniform and commission will allow me to go places and meet people that no other ministry could provide. I am privileged to join those who served before me and gave so freely of their lives.

Dean Lee
BACKGROUND: I was born in Korea and came to the United States in 1982. I met The Salvation Army while studying at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago, and soon after became a youth leader at the Chicago Korean Corps.
CHILDREN’S NAMES: John, age 13, David, age 11, Samuel, age 10
HOME CORPS: Los Angeles Korean Corps, Southern California Division
GENERATION SALVATIONIST: 1st
SIGNIFICANCE OF COMMISSIONING: Having prepared my heart to be anointed by God, I will be publicly ordained to serve Christ. The ceremony also recognizes those who contributed to our development into officers and witnesses to our family and friends about Christ and The Salvation Army.

Hannah Lee
BACKGROUND: I was born in South Korea and moved to America in 1993.
CHILDREN’S NAMES: John, age 13, David age 11, Samuel, age 10
HOME CORPS: Los Angeles Korean Corps, Southern California Division
GENERATION SAVATIONIST: 1st
SIGNIFICANCE OF COMMISSIONING: Both of our families are Christians, but they are not Salvationists. This weekend will help them understand more about The Salvation Army and what it means to serve the Lord as Salvation Army officers.
