The annual Sunrise Service was once again held at Lytton ARC, attended by more than 350 people from all over Sonoma County, representing a variety of churches. Thirty equestrians from various clubs in the North Bay Area also attended.
Although the fog prevented the sun from appearing, it did not stop those present from having a good time celebrating Jesus’ resurrection.
Commissioners David and Doreen Edwards were special guests at the service, which has been held for almost 90 years at Lytton, beginning when Lytton was a children’s home. For many in the Healdsburg area, it has become a yearly tradition.
A special feature of the morning is a pancake breakfast served to the community. Approximately 300 people were served breakfast by the staff and beneficiaries from the center.
Also present were the new ARC Commanders, Majors Ron and Pam Strickland, and Lt. Colonels Charles and April Strickland, Del Oro divisional leaders.
Special music was performed by the Praise Band of the Santa Rosa Corps under the leadership of Captains Ian and Isabel Robinson, and Captains Bouaphet and Oulayuah Sidavong, with many members of the corps also in attendance.
