Event on Oct. 22nd will feature food and entertainment; proceeds will benefit Salvation Army World Services.
The Salvation Army Kroc Community Church is hosting its 33rd Annual International Food Circus and Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 22nd from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festivities, including food booths, farmer’s market, bazaar, auction, and live entertainment, will be held at the Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center on 1865 Bill Frey Drive N.E., Salem.
The event will feature entrees from around the world represented in food booths including France, Germany, Mexico, Italy, the Southern USA and other countries. There will also be an English Tea Room offering a variety of teas and delicacies.
A farmer’s market with local produce, bakery booth and home and gift bazaar presented by the women’s ministries will be an addition to the event.
A silent auction will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by an oral auction at 1 p.m. All auction items have been donated by local merchants.
Entertainment throughout the day will be from the Celebration Brass Sextet, McKay H.S. Band, The Keizer Big Band, and other local artists.
Admission to the event is free and prices for food and beverage items range from $1 to $5.
All proceeds will go to support the Salvation Army World Services and missionaries in 110 countries. The Salvation Army offers emergency help in many countries including hospitals, senior housing, children’s homes, schools for AIDS orphans, and other services.
