Intermountain women enjoy ‘living water’

Listen to this article

“Living water” refreshed women as they gathered in Cheyenne, WY, to participate in the Intermountain Division’s Women’s Ministries Conference. The “living water” theme referred to the scripture that invites all to come and drink of the waters of life-giving refreshment.

Linda Himes taught the precept method of Bible study, using the book of Ephesians in several sessions, and challenging the women to “walk worthy of the calling with which you are called.”

The Saturday evening program featured a dramatic monologue, “Two who served–Mary and Martha of Bethany.” This was well done by Barbara Daubenspeck, who served as Mary, and Captain Amy Reardon, who acted as Martha. Personal testimonies about God’s living word were a blessing.

Following visiting territorial leader Col. Keitha Needham’s Sunday morning message, the altar was filled with women seeking Christ and the waters “springing up unto eternal life.” Needham assured the women that God delights in giving abundant “showers” and not merely “drops” of water.

Activities included small group study and craft workshops.
