Labor Day weekend at Camp Redwood Glen was full of discoveries and blessings for the Golden State Division. It was a special pleasure to meet and hear our new territorial leaders, Commissioners David and Doreen Edwards.

Lt. Colonels Richard and Bettie Love, new divisional leaders, were also greeted and appreciated as people with great hearts and love for the people of the Golden State.

A high point for the people of the Turlock Corps was watching their corps officers, A/Captains David and Diane Ebel, be fully commissioned as captains.

Some campers chose camping together in tents. Corps families bonded together, ate together, and “shared all things common.” Others stayed in dorms and found that to be a good experience as well.

Children’s activities on Saturday followed the theme, “Labor Day Camp Olympics.” Two teams competed using Bible memorization and Bible quiz to earn gold medals. Coaches had a good time as well. Everyone won gold medals, because learning God’s Word makes you a winner!

The worship, the fellowship, and the well-stocked Trade booth made great memories, and plans are already in effect to make next year’s camp even bigger and better.
