You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let our light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Teamwork for Rotary
Major Rosalyn Mahr, who serves at the Evangeline Booth Hospital in Ahmednagar, India, reports a new 100 KVA generator was donated recently by the Rotary Club under a matching grant program. The Rotary Clubs in Ahmednagar and North Phoenix, Arizona, matched funds for it along with Rotary International. “Colonel Mervyn Morelock is a member of the Phoenix Club, and he was instrumental in pushing the project from their side,” said Mahr. “The whole project has taken three to four years, but finally we have the end product.”

With the Internet available at ‘cyber cafes,’ even in small towns, the web site promises to provide the public, especially young people, with an insight into The Salvation Army in India.”

Clean water for Kaduku, Uganda
Funds from the Western Territory—$41,000— were sent to drill a borehole and provide pipes and a hand pump to provide a safe supply of drinking water at the Kaduku Salvation Army Corps, in a remote area in Kigumba, North Western Uganda.
Previously, Salvation Army officers and the surrounding community had to travel 6 kilometers to get water from the water supply dam, which was not fit for human consumption. The water was shared with dogs, domestic/wild animals, people bathing, and women doing washing.
