by Sue Schumann WarnerAs a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called—one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Ephesians 4:1-5 (NIV)

Kalispell adds to ranks
“We went to a lot of different churches but never felt like we fit in. We have never felt more at home or had more of a feeling of belonging to the family of God, than in The Salvation Army,” said Roger Wilcox, a new senior soldier of the Kalispell Corps, Mont. Assistant Corps Officer Captain Cassandra Sproule reported that four senior soldiers were recently enrolled: Roger and Penny Wilcox, Jeannie Arneson, and Barb Bieber. “They all stood up there ready to make a commitment to The Salvation Army, but more importantly to God,” said Sproule.

Please pray for these individuals as they embark on a new journey as soldiers of the Army in Kalispell.

Delgado competes
in Olympic trials
Jairo Delgado, 16, a member of the Denver Red Shield’s boxing program was invited to the Western Regional Boxoff in Bakersfield, Calif., to compete for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team as a Bantam Weight. Jairo began attending the Red Shield due to his younger brother’s involvement with the “Disciples Football Program,” said Envoy Ron McKinney. He has raised his GPA to a 3.1, left his gang involvement, given his life to the Lord and, with Ron Lyle’s tutoring and help, developed into a promising young boxer. Denver’s “Cox-Lyle” boxing program has 67 members, including four young ladies, all U.S.A. licensed and certified to compete in U.S. Amateur boxing matches.
