Commissioning weekend to feature celebration, inspiration.
by Martin Hunt –
Over the past several years we have witnessed yet again God’s blessing on the Western Territory. We have seen growth in our corps, and a rise in the number of our junior and senior soldiers. Our youth programs are growing, and we’ve experienced an increase in the variety of worship expressions across the territory.
This Crescendo of growth gives us even more reason to praise God. The 2010 Commissioning weekend will be a time of celebration and inspiration. The territory will witness the commissioning of the Prayer Warriors session of cadets, and we will join in celebrating with them the start of their active officership.
The territory will also farewell, and give thanks to God for the faithful service of our territorial leaders Commissioners Philip and Patricia Swyers as they enter into retirement.
The annual Bible Bowl Competition will reach its climax during the weekend. Leadership training seminars will be offered. The four territorial music groups will provide music throughout the weekend.
We will also join in fellowship with dinner on Saturday evening, and Sunday lunch, which are provided to every delegate. And we are inviting everyone to attend Sunday school classes prior to the morning meeting.
Commissioning weekend will be filled with great opportunities for fellowship, learning and inspiration. Tickets for the public events go very fast, and there are only 700 tickets available for sale for each event. Complete your registration form now and don’t miss out on this celebration!
