A clothing swap held during The Salvation Army Central Territory’s “Regeneration” youth conference helped raise $350 for The Salvation Army’s Begoro Rehabilitation Center in Ghana.
Money raised at Regeneration 2014 will provide the specialized equipment needed to help the students at Begoro thrive. Begoro offers a home to 45 children with disabilities, such as spina bifida. Residents are provided with food, housing, education and physical therapy while learning the skills needed to master mobility, communication and self-care. Every $50 raised will provide a wheelchair, crutches, orthopedic shoes or other tools needed for independent mobility.
