Chief of the Staff Commissioner Brian Peddle added to centenary celebrations in the India Eastern Territory when he visited Mizoram to install the new territorial leaders.

The visit began with territorial officers councils, held at Ramhlun Corps, attended by active and retired officers and cadets. Later, at a prayer meeting in Bethlehem Corps, the Chief emphasized the importance of The Salvation Army’s mission to take “the whole message to the whole world.”

He installed Commissioners Lalzamlova and Nu-i as Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries, respectively, during the Sunday holiness meeting at Aizawl Temple Corps.

Peddle shared words from Isaiah 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. He also took the opportunity to recognize the service of outgoing Territorial Commander Commissioner Naomi Lalngaihawmi, who he presented with her retirement certificate.

Local officers had opportunity to share in fellowship with the Chief of the Staff at Booth Mansion Conference Hall in the afternoon before they moved on to Aizawl Bazar Corps for the salvation meeting. “God will be amazing for you, if you give yourself to him,” Peddle said. “He wants to do amazing things in you.”

Many people—soldiers, officers and even children—went forward to the mercy seat to dedicate their lives to God throughout the weekend.

Before leaving for home the next day, the Chief spent time with the territorial headquarters family, sharing with them in their devotions.
