cheyenne celebrates army’s 107 years. by captain keith mcrevy –. national salvation army week was kicked off in cheyenne, wyo., at the monthly meeting of the advisory board. brigadier lillian dixon from chicago, ill., guest speaker, and vice chair chuck kline received a city of cheyenne proclamation from mayor leopando. the board welcomed three new members, including colonel lou perna, usaf, jerry schoening, social security executive, and troy broussard, boy scout executive. chuck kline was elected chairman for the coming fiscal year. the army in cheyenne continued to celebrate its 107 years of service with open house activities at the community center, sally house and the thrift store. celebrations concluded on sunday with a community picnic. after volleyball, horseshoes and olympic games, prizes were awarded. special guests were colonel and mrs. william norris, army missionaries for the west african territory.
