Captain Judy Smith, territorial evangelism secretary, has been appointed to the April-June term of the Army’s International College for Officers in London.
Each year, approximately 100 officers from around the Army world–all of whom have a minimum of 10 years of service and are 53 or younger–attend the College. Four eight-week sessions are held on the campus, located six miles from the heart of London.
Held under the leadership of Colonel Brian Tuck, principal, a panel of lecturers headed by the General and the Chief of the Staff includes officers and soldiers who are experts in various fields.
“First off,” says Smith, “I am grateful to the territorial commander for the opportunity to return to London, England for an eight week stay at The Cedars. I know, in my heart, that God has great things in store for me and I intend to take full advantage of the privilege of meeting fellow officers from all over the world and to grow deeper in love with Christ, as I attend classes, fellowship with Salvationists and make my heart available to hear the ‘still small voice’ of the Lord.”
