BOOK REVIEW: AMERICAN IDOLS

Listen to this article

 by Dawn Owens-

American Idols is a clear, concise, and direct treatment of 14 contemporary —and typically American—idols. The author has a way of placing truth in a context that is easy to understand and, even better, easy to digest. The author introduces each idol to the reader with gripping contemporary and biblical accounts that prompt self-examination. Through spiritual formation assignments, he encourages readers to develop a deeper relationship with God in a personal, yet practical way. By the end of every chapter, the Holy Spirit is not only tugging at your heart strings, but buckling your knees.

Dawn Owens and her husband live in Hamilton, Ohio.
