Three Western units were honored with the Best Practices Award at the recent National Advisory Board Conference. Major R. Hal Hads, of the Redwood City Corps, received the award at the Energizing Advisory Boards workshop in the small cities category for their mentoring program.
Lt. Colonel Jim Sullivan, Las Vegas County Coordinator, accepted the award at the Programs of Promise workshop, small cities category, for Las Vegas, Nev.
NAB member Marlene Klotz-Collins accepted the award in the large cities category at the Creative Community Relations workshop for the Southwest Division’s “Christmas Angels” program, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Representatives were presented with a special plaque of recognition and their Best Practices were featured in the Saturday afternoon session.
