Prayer Line Keeps Partners In Touch With Needs

The Western Territory has just established a new toll-free telephone number: 1 (877) 347-PRAY (7729) called “The Salvation Army Prayer Line.”

Callers will hear the list of the most urgent prayer requests of the territory which have been submitted to the Territorial Call to Prayer Coordinators, Lt. Colonels Mervyn and Shirley Morelock (R).

The “Keeping In Touch-Call to Prayer” ministry now has 2135 prayer partners who have covenanted to pray for the needs of the territory on a daily basis.

The 24-hour telephone prayer line will supplement the Keeping in Touch! page of the New Frontier by the sharing of time-sensitive prayer requests. Prayer leaders, and others, will be invited to call the new toll – free number to listen to the ten most urgent prayer needs. These will be shared with corps and institutions at their regular prayer services and through prayer chains.

The prayer line will also accept and record new prayer requests as well as new praise reports for inclusion in future New Frontier articles.

God has been blessing the “Keeping in Touch!-Call to Prayer” ministry with evidence of the importance and power of prayer. Many thrilling reports are being received on direct, specific answers to prayer.
