Specific planning for the October 30 MISSION2000 Expansion Council meeting has been formalized and will allow opportunities to examine the current status of the campaign following six years of development, discussion of plans for where we need to go, and a visioning process to explore the territory’s needs after the turn of the century.
Territorial Program Secretary Lt. Colonel Ray Peacock will provide leadership for the weekend, during which approximately 70 Salvationists from around the territory will convene. Commissioner David Edwards, territorial commander, will meet with the group along with Colonel Dennis Phillips, chief secretary, and other members of the cabinet.
Dr. David Schmidt, an experienced consultant in program development, will coordinate a portion of the discussion and use the membership as focus groups.
The Sunday morning worship service will be led by Peacock, who will speak on: “Six Questions God Asks of Visionaries.”
