Kenny Chesney will kick off The Salvation Army’s 122nd annual Red Kettle Campaign with a live performance during halftime of the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game.

The popular singer-songwriter and football enthusiast will perform hits off his latest album, “Welcome to the Fishbowl,” in support of The Salvation Army’s long-running fundraising campaign.

In its 16th year, the Red Kettle Kickoff show will launch yet another great season of giving and serving. Last Christmas, the American public donated a record $147.6 million to The Salvation Army’s iconic red kettles, allowing the Army to serve millions of Americans in need with food, clothing, toys, shelter and other assistance—3.5 million individuals were served during the holidays alone. “There are great traditions in America, especially Thanksgiving, family and football,” Chesney said. “For 16 years the Dallas Cowboys and The Salvation Army have been an American tradition and I’m happy to be a part of it.”

Now through Nov. 11, fans of the Dallas Cowboys and Kenny Chesney can visit SalvationArmyUSA.org/BoysofFall for a chance to win a trip for four to Dallas to see the team battle the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving Day—including on-field passes for the halftime show and a meet-and-greet with Chesney.

“I’m calling on all of my fans to not only give back this year but also send in their best football highlights videos for a chance to see me live in Dallas on Thanksgiving Day,” Chesney said.

Throughout The Salvation Army’s partnership with the Dallas Cowboys, the Red Kettle Campaign has raised more than $1.5 billion for Americans in need.

Watch the Thanksgiving Day game and Red Kettle Kickoff halftime airing Nov. 22 at 1:15 p.m. (PST) on FOX.
