Fundraising for The Salvation Army across the Pond
Support for The Salvation Army was stirred up during a coffee morning held in Wokingham, U.S., last week.
They were also able to buy items from stalls run by The Salvation Army and local jewelry company Box of Delights, which later handed over a donation of £10 (approximately $16) to the cause.
The event raised £264 (approximately $422) to be put towards Salvation Army projects in Wokingham and around the U.K.
Janet Severn, who organizes the coffee mornings held at the church on the first Thursday of the month said: “We did remarkably well.”
The next charity coffee morning, in support of Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, will be held on Thursday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to midday.
