In July 1988, they became Auxiliary Captains in The Salvation Army after serving under the leadership of then-Captains Audrey and Craig Madsen at the Portland Tabernacle Corps. As a young child, Bob had been raised in The Salvation Army in Canada.

In retirement, the Halls pastored the church in the mobile home park where they lived for two years. After that, Marjorie led a women’s Bible study in a prison. Throughout retirement, she ministered through music at the Broomfield (Colorado) Silvercrest residence.
Marjorie is survived by her husband of over 54 years, Major Bob Hall; daughters, Joy Hall and Major Phyllis (Richard) Pease; and grandsons Richard, Sean and Trevor Pease.
