Following a shift at The Salvation Army’s Covina Family Store, 13 women in rehabilitation at Oakcrest in Pasadena, Calif., experienced the third annual Mother’s Day Makeover.

At a local Sears, the women shopped for a new dress. Later, at the Salon of Paris in Arcadia, the owner and four stylists—including Pasadena Tabernacle corps member Latisha Longoria—donated their time to conduct the makeover. All of the ladies had previously chosen their desired hair color, donated by Paul Cosato of Covina. Ralphs donated food and Starbucks provided coffee for the event.

Corps Officers Majors Ron and Keilah Toy provided encouragement and reminded the women how much God loves us all. Sylvia Guerra, a new Tabernacle advisory board member, also attended in support of the change these women are making in their lives.
