promoted to glory. promoted to glory. lois (barnes) hugo–a former officer, was promoted to glory recently from woodlands hills, calif. she was a long time soldier of the fresno corps along with her husband, herbert. lois is survived by her husband; daughter, judy johnson; sister in law mrs. major myrtle griffin (r) and nephew, lt. col. terry griffin. judy barber–active in the long beach corps and an employee at the arc command, was promoted to glory recently from torrance, calif. death came as the result of a car accident just outside the lomita annex in february and brain damage from two cardiac arrests that followed. judy played the piano and was a valued member of the long beach corps. a memorial service was held at green hills chapel in rancho palos verdes, calif., with major james hood presiding.
