“God is committed to breaching the gap that separates us,” stated General Paul A. Rader on Sunday morning. “He loved us so much that he sent his Son to reconcile us to himself.”

In a quiet, yet powerful service, Sunday’s worship brought closure to NAOC ’99 and to the work that had been accomplished there. With participation by National Advisory Board members Steven S Reinemund, Mrs. Marilyn Quayle, B. Franklin Skinner, and Richard Tucker, and a personal testimony by Commissioner Kay F. Rader, the service encompassed testimonies of God’s goodness, witness to his continuing presence, and the promise of his faithfulness.

It also enabled delegates to reach out beyond Pasadena to assist refugees from Kosovo through a special offering taken to support the Army’s ministry there. Nearly $12,000 was raised.

Special music was provided by Lt. Margaret Davis and the Southern California Divisional Youth Band.
