Salvation Army event in Phoenix set for Nov. 17
Do you live in or around Phoenix, Ariz.?
If so, make plans to join The Salvation Army and Arizona’s Family 3TV on Nov. 17 from 5 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., as they team up for a 17-hour live broadcast to collect turkeys for more than 10,000 needy families. Brad Cesmat, 3TV’s sportscaster, will be at The Salvation Army’s divisional headquarters collecting turkeys and bringing holiday cheer to the Valley.
The community is encouraged to drop off turkeys, non-perishable food items and/or monetary donations.
Last year’s event set an all-time turkey collection record—the community donated 5, 125 turkeys and $45,000. Thanks to the public’s support, The Salvation Army did not have to spend a penny to provide Thanksgiving meals to Arizona families in need. Instead, funds went to other worthwhile community efforts.
